THE ARTISTS
Colette Nic Aodha
Colette Nic Aodha was born and raised in Shrule, Co. Mayo. She holds a degree in Irish and History from the National University of Ireland, Galway. She has had both short stories and poetry published in English and Irish. She has completed a masters in modern Irish at NUI Galway on the poet Raiftearaí.
Terry McDonagh
Terry McDonagh, poet and dramatist, has published five collections of poetry, a play; a book of letters and a novel and poetry for children. His work has been translated into Indonesian and German, funded by Ireland Literature Exchange. With piper Diarmaid Moynihan, he completes poet/piper duo, ‘Raithneach’. Twelve of his poems have been put to music by German composer, Eberhard Reichel. Terry resides in Germany.
Louise Lawrence
Louise Lawrence writes novels for the teenage market. She has had 32 books published during a career spanning 35 years – all being science-fiction or fantasy. Louise is a "blow-in" from England and has been living in Ireland since 1998.
Ger Reidy
Ger Reidy, a native of Aughagower, is a short story writer and poet. His poetry collection, Pictures From A Reservation, was published in 1998. His next collection is due in the near future. He is the recipient of several poetry prizes and has read countrywide in Ireland. ‘Ger Reidy’s poetry is inspired by the untamed landscape of Mayo’…The Irish Times ‘Reidy’s poems are powerful, buried in the landscape of the west of Ireland’…Books Ireland.
Tony Reidy

Louise Lawrence – Workshop in the Town Hall Theatre from 11.00 – 12.30pm
School Poetry competition Final. This will take place in the Town Hall Theatre at 2pm.
Judges for the competition are Colette Nic Aodha, Terry McDonagh and Louise Lawrence
Evening Schedule
Wednesday, November 10th 2010
This year’s festival will be officially launched in the Cill Aodain hotel by Colette Nic Aodha. Music on the night will be provided by Claire Sanders.
Thursday, November 11th 2010
The two readings this night will be from
Noel King, Prophesying the Past, and
Terry McDonagh with music provided by Graham Mace. Venue to be confirmed
Friday, November 12th
Book launch
Basil Burke, Kiltimagh Remembered, Vol. 3 in the Park Hotel from 7pm – 9.30pm
Poems and Pints Night,with readings from various writer's groups and also with time allowed for writers not attached to any particular group. Venue to be confirmed
Saturday, November 13th
There will be three readings on the final night, one each from Colette Nic Aodha, Ger Reidy and Louise Lawrence. Music this night will be performed by Tony Reidy. Venue to be confirmed.
